The multilingual (supporting English and Arabic) website and mobile app enabled the users to avail the many services offered by Sharjah Police toits various stakeholders ranging from citizens, tourists, business establishments and other government entities. A key highlight of the e-services implementation was the integration with APIs provided by other government entities like Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship (Emirates ID), Smart Dubai (UAE Pass), Sharjah Economic Development Department (Trade License), Sharjah Municipality etc. These integrations gave the users a seamless experience when availing services from the Sharjah Police website and mobile app.
The new web portal for its employees helped Sharjah Police to reduce the turnaround time for processing requests from the website and mobile app. This has greatly improved their performance on customer satisfaction index, which is a key performance indicator for government entities in Sharjah. The launch of the new employee web portal also enabled them to retire some of their legacy systems and consolidate the functionality in those internal systems thereby enhancing the productivity of their employees.
